Upper Cape

The Upper Cape is part of Cape Cod closest to the mainland, comprising the towns of Bourne, Sandwich, Falmouth, and Mashpee. Falmouth is the home to the famous Woods Hole Oceanographic Institution and the Marine Biological Laboratory, as well as several other research organizations, and is also home to the most frequently used ferry connections to Martha’s Vineyard.

Going to Martha’s Vineyard? Get off at the Bourne stop where a Steamship shuttle and RTA bus will take you to Falmouth and Woods Hole. They will also take you back to the Bourne stop to meet the train’s departure on Saturdays and Sundays only.
